Fall Kick-Off: The Dating Play Book

Brindle Room's Spreads with Crostini are Fan Favorites!

Fall marks the return of Football, delicious Autumnal culinary items (pumpkin, anyone?!) and the ideal time to start seeing a new special someone (summer flings are so last season).   With weekends dedicated to following your team’s game strategy, why not let Savored call the plays for your weeknight dinner dates?  Picking the perfect date spot can be a tough decision; take my advice and you’ll never look like a rookie.

1st Date – Sure, going for drinks is a safe bet, but picking a casual spot with lighter fare is always a good call, in case your date gets hungry.  Don’t fumble this one – check out Brindle Room.  The casual East Village eatery has rustic charm and lighter fare for when you’re just sharing a bite.  Try one of their delicious spreads with a cheesy, baked crostini or opt for a delicious oyster topped with baked leeks (bonus points for ordering an aphrodisiac).  For something more substantial, go for the Parmesan Pork Chop or split a Rib-Eye for Two.

G-50: Goat Cheese Souffle

G-50's Goat Cheese Soufflé is Out of Bounds

G-50 Roasted Chicken

Roasted Chicken a la G-50: Touch Down!

2nd Date – You’ve completed that first pass and now it’s time to head up the field (or uptown, as it were).   G-50 is Midtown East’s swanky new spot that boasts eclectic American Nouveau fare that will have you flirting with your date the idea of ordering everything on the menu.  The Goat Cheese Soufflé is the perfect kick-off to your meal and the Roasted Chicken with Gnocchi and Seasonal Vegetables might just be your game changer.

In Vino's Truffled Mushroom Ravioli: My #1 Pick

3rd Date and beyond – Romance is always abound when dining Italian and In Vino ranks way up on my list of favorites.  The dimly lit grotto-esque interior begs for canoodling and their helpful team can help you tackle the extensive wine list.  Go for the superb truffle-infused Ravioli Tartufati ai Porcini – unlike your evening’s outcome, this dish is a sure thing!

While I can’t guarantee your sweetie won’t break your heart this fall, I can promise that with the discreetly applied 30% off from Savored, you won’t break the bank.  So go for it – make a reservation at one of my date spot favorites and you’re sure to have a winning season!
